Birds can have a much harder time finding food during the winter months. So I always try to make sure I have a feeder full of food available to them at our home. I switch out the feeders every once in a while to make thing interesting. This month I got the Design a Feeder- Seed Feeder from Perky Pets and put it to the test.
The Perky-Pet website has just introduced their new Design a Seed Feeder program and I am impressed with how easy it is to make a custom seed bird feeder. They walk you through each step, picking each piece of the feeder. You get to pick which tube, cap, tray, and ports that you would like. It was a lot of fun playing with the different options and choosing which ones I wanted.
I ordered my feeder and it arrived after on a few days. I was impressed with how large the feeder and how nice it looked. I love the look of the brass on the feeder. The cap easily flips down so you can fill the feeder. The ports can be turned so that they allow out larger pieces of food or only smaller feed. I turned them so they let out the smaller feed and filled it up. This feeder can hold a lot of seed! I poured all the seed I had in and didn’t even fill it to the top. Those birds will be so happy to have a plentiful supply.

We just moved into a new home and was talking about getting a bird feeder. I have never heard of perky pet and I think it is so neat you can design your own feeder. Yours looks very nice. I like that it is so large and can accommodate several birds. It is also great that it holds so much seed so you don’t have to constantly refill it. I will definitely check out the website.
